Aikido GI- Read More

There are many forms of fight practices all over the world. Some of them have evolved with time and some of them have adapted some new forms to the extent that they have morphed entirely into new and advanced forms. Aikido is one such relatively newer version of martial arts that combines many elements of karate with slicker and newer moves to become what it is.

The discipline and the effort that is required for the work is still the same and often practiced in the same tenor. This makes it a very advanced and yet grounded form of fight. The uniform of Aikido is basically not so different from karate. Te uniform here is called aikido GI.

Aikido GI is made out of coarse and hard cotton. It has to be cotton because the fight involves a lot of sweat and that has to be evaporated and the body should get a little comfort from the breathability of the material of the GI. Therefore the aikido GI should always be ordered to be done from cotton.

Also, cotton shrinks and that is a fact that has to be kept in mind while buying the aikido GI. The frame of the aikido kimono should be such that the desired frame should be the one that the kimono settles in after shrinking two or three sizes. The washes also soften the material up which can make the uniform vulnerable to wear and tear and the rips and tears have to be corrected instantly if there is to be a perfect maintenance of the GIs.

The aikido GI is in a kimono style and they are wrapped around the body and secured with a belt, the pajama are drawstring and they provide the room for easy access to leg works and stretches which are very much the part of the fight.

The fight is basically centres around body movements and they differ from karate in orientation. Aikido is very popular and therefore there are many companies that produce aikido GIs to meet the demands of the growing number of trainees of this art. There are many sites online that provide the opportunity to the trainees to just order their GIs online and the product is delivered right to their homes. They should prefer cotton GIs. Also, the GIs are made in different weaves that add to the weight of the GI. There are lightweight single weave GIs that are very popular for exams and competitions. They do not hinder the movements of the people and they are excellent for agility.

The heavy weight or double weave patterns are definitely heavier but they are lasting and do not succumb to wear and tear that fast. Plus they are excellent for balance and their added resistance is good for strength training as well. A person should practice with both weaves or get an expert opinion to decide which will suit them the best. It is also a good idea of getting a piece of each type for the fighter to train in the heavy weave and compete in the light weave.
